Asset Management – a core area at SEB Denmark

SEB established its presence in Denmark in 1994 as a branch of SEB AB, adding institutional asset management in 1999. Today, the client and investment organisation are integrated within SEB Asset Management, which is wholly owned by SEB AB. We are located at Bernstorffsgade 50 in Copenhagen – commonly referred to as SEB-huset.

The client and portfolio management teams work closely together and are located side by side. Our asset management capabilities in Denmark are broad and include:

• Client Organisation (serving Danish and international clients)
• Investment Operations & COO Office

The Danish investment organisation is complemented by SEB Asset Management’s global portfolio management teams across asset classes. This includes both fundamental and quantitative equity managers, investment grade and high-yield teams, as well as a dedicated alternatives investment organisation. SEB has a long-standing track record in Private Equity, with the SEB Private Equity team being a prominent market player since its inception in 1998.

In addition to SEB’s internally managed strategies, we also utilise carefully selected externally managed strategies. All external asset managers undergo a thorough due diligence process before being included on SEB’s global platform. This selection process is conducted by SEB’s Manager Selection team. Examples of external partners include Morgan Stanley, Columbia Threadneedle, Federated Hermes, Neuberger Berman, and EQT.

SEB Asset Management Denmark serves an institutional client base, encompassing a variety of public institutions, pension funds, insurance companies, family offices, foundations, and financial institutions.
