SEB makes 1 million kronor donation to Ukraine

SEB supports the Red Cross' relief efforts in war-torn Ukraine. The bank donates 1 million Swedish kronor and will also match contributions from employees. For every krona collected among employees, SEB contributes the same amount up to a further 1 million kronor.

“There is an enormous will in the whole society and among our employees to actively help in the emergency. We want to support the humanitarian work that is needed on site in Ukraine, both through a donation directly from SEB and a matching of donations that our employees make,” says Johan Torgeby.

1 million kronor is approximately 93,500 euros.

The Red Cross is working hard to help people affected by the conflict in Ukraine. The organisation is located throughout the country and helps people with urgent humanitarian needs, for example by distributing clean water, food and hygiene items to families, providing first aid to injured people, supporting inpatient and mobile health clinics with medicines and equipment.
